RP Funding CEO and venture capitalist Robert Palmer has deep roots in Lakeland, Florida. As a graduate of Lakeland’s George Jenkins High School 19 years ago, he has shown an unprecedented commitment to the place that built him.

Today, that commitment to the Lakeland community culminates in the rechristening of its largest, most prestigious venue into the RP Funding Center.

Originally called the Lakeland Center, this arena has housed premier entertainment for Lakeland residents since opening its doors in 1974. By partnering with one of fastest growing brands in the United States, the venue is confident that their newfound name recognition — along with the funding provided by Mr. Palmer — will introduce their services to a whole new audience, as well as bring even more of the nation’s top attractions to the community.

In addition to providing venues for concerts, trade expos, theater productions, community events, and facilities for GJHS functions, the RP Funding Center will also house the Orlando Magic’s G-League (development league) affiliate, the Lakeland Magic.
